Wentworth Woodhouse

We have a vibrant learning and community programme for young people from EYFS right through to degree level.

All of our offer is curriculum mapped and draws on our unique and beautiful House and Gardens. We offer workshops for primary schools on our links to the ancient world, our historic menagerie and an outdoor workshop to learn about sustainability. For secondary aged students we have a GCSE horror photography workshop and a creative careers and enterprise challenge to develop skills and support Gatsby Benchmarks. College and university students can carry out projects to enhance and enrich their studies and even add to their portfolios! One of our most popular visits are tailored that we co-create with schools and colleges - these can be anything and everything from exhibitions on Fast Fashion to art projects using our stunning plasterwork in the state rooms! Please get in touch if you have a vision you'd like to realise with us and we'll try our best to make it happen!

Our community programme covers festivals such as WE Wonder alongside visits to enable everyone from the local community to come and enjoy our space. We offer green spaces for social prescribing, wellbeing and even a sensory walk alongside art workshops for people experiencing social isolation, for example. We also have a Wentworth Woodhouse scout and guide badge which takes young people on a journey through our history as well as our indoor and outdoor spaces to learn about all things WW! We are open to working with all community groups and keen to welcome people here to enjoy and love Wentworth Woodhouse just as we do, making it truly a welcoming space for all.
