Mulembas d'Africa

Mulembas dance classes started in Sheffield in 2009. Led by Angelina Abel, we have delivered dance classes across Sheffield and across the UK. Our aim is to promote social cohesion through African movement and create safe spaces where inclusion and understanding is promoted via arts.

Through the development of our own African dance methodology, Mulembas d'Africa invites its student to recognise the value of African ancestry and its impact in a world strongly influence by modern African beats.

As a performing artist, Angelina dives into the world of cross arts guided and inspired by the work of influential writers and poets who are agents of change in a world where cultural diversity and understanding is a must.

Workshops taking into account an intersectionality of elements that is tailored according to age groups and community needs.
