Illuminate The Play - The National Videogame Museum
Visually striking and accessible for all ages, a range of bespoke videogames will be arriving at The National Videogame Museum this December. An immersive version of a retro classic, alongside unique LED games are sure to light up the festive season!
Virtual Reality will make its Museum debut with an old retro favourite. Presented as a complete sensory experience, dive into the hypnotic world of Tetris Effect as the famous blocks will transport you to a virtual place of unique music, sounds and special effects.
Visitors can be enchanted by a radiant collection of new LED gaming experiences designed by indie developers too. Experience the innovative “Line Wobbler” by Robin Baumgarden, an award winning experiment in minimalism game design. Utilising a spring input mechanic, players control light and navigate through a five metre long LED strip display.
Other bespoke experiences include, “Glow Golf” by Alex Johansson and “Tap-o-War” by the NVM’s own team. Vibrant, accessible and ideal for all the family Glow Golf mimics teeing off on a bright green display, while Tug-o-War pits you against friends in a button bashing battle.
