Sheffield Mencap and Gateway was formed in 1951 by parents of children with a learning disability who wanted to provide a better life for them. Since then, the organisation has grown and developed and today, we are the leading provider of training and support for people with learning disabilities in Sheffield. We support over 600 people every week.

From Sheffield to the rest of the world we want to bring communities together through music, art, performance, food and celebration.

DECSY exists to promote Global Learning: an approach to education that increases understanding of complex global issues, such as world poverty, conflict, climate change, racism and migration and thinking about how to create a better world.

We are Chol. A dynamic and socially conscious theatre company and registered charity based in Yorkshire since its founding in 1989.

Chilypep (the Children and Young People’s Empowerment Project) is a charity dedicated to raising the voice of children and young people, giving them the platform to shape their world and stay connected. We work with all young people in Sheffield, Barnsley, South Yorkshire and Beyond.
