Registered as a charity in 1996, Greentop's mission is to promote excellent circus that inspires young people, strengthens communities and develops artists. At our fully equipped circus centre in the former St Thomas’ Church, Brightside we provide weekly creative activities for over 100 adults and 100 children in 28 different classes ranging in level from beginner to professional. We are recognised nationally as a leading provider of social circus, pioneering circus participation and co-creating programmes with clearly defined communities of need, particularly young Roma (Neighbourhood Circus), neurodiverse young people (Spectrum Circus) and school children at KS1/2 in areas of economic disadvantage (This Is Circus).

This is Circus

Our This Is Circus School Programme brings a fresh take on PE classes. Over 6 weekly classes the children at KS1& 2 will explore a whole range of circus skills, ask themselves What Is Circus? and discover how it’s great for creativity and resilience. The programme can be delivered by our tutor in school, as a blended offer where we provide training to your staff, or can be delivered entirely remotely.
