The National Videogame Museum is the UK's cultural centre for videogames. The NVM explores what games are, how and why they are made, and who made them through our exhibits, events and learning programmes.
We create innovative and inclusive ways to engage adults, children, game players and those who have never played games! This means that we are a fully playable museum, with lots of games from across gaming history available to play and learn about. Our work also includes digital collection projects such as The Animal Crossing Diaries, which explores player experiences of playing Animal Crossing throughout the pandemic.
We welcome self-led visits from all kinds of education groups and organisations including primary and secondary groups, SEN, home education, youth groups, universities, and adult learners groups.
We offer workshops for a range of ages. Each workshop lasts for 1 hr and will be delivered by our team of Learning Facilitators at the museum. Your booking also includes 2 hrs to explore our galleries and play games!
