I design and facilitate workshops for primary and secondary school children that involve design and technology and also have an educational strand of facts that are relevant to the project. For thirty years, I have worked as a community artist, lecturer in Fine Art as well as a commissioned artist. The range of people that I have worked with in the community is extensive, such as: children that don't attend school, families, youth groups, and adults and older people. Abstract ideas can be communicated to any age if it is conveyed in a relevant way and people can enjoy exploring ideas and learning in a great variety of ways.

For Y6 children, I have facilitated the making of 30cm square laptop corrugated card Marble Labyrinths whereby the children design and make their own games using two pizza boxes,, panel pins and copper cutters. The children edit these games as they are designing them by watching their classroom buddy play them to see what is working in their game. The children learn how to measure accurately, cut, map out a game and learn to edit designs rather than keeping with the first idea.
