Philosophy for Children (P4C) Club -

Kate Halliwell

What: Philosophy for Children (P4C) Club

Where: DECSY, Scotia Works, Leadmill Road

When: Tuesdays, 4 – 5.30pm. 4 sessions each half-term

Who: Ages 10-13

Have you ever wondered... Would I like a robot servant? Can humans control nature? Is it ever right to give up on something? If you could swap brains with anyone, who would it be and why?

If so, why not join our Philosophy for Children (P4C) After-School Club for 10 – 13 year-olds? These are the kind of big, juicy questions that we love to chew over, especially in collaboration with others. Your questions, ideas, beliefs, and experiences are shared within our caring ‘community of enquiry’ and the facilitated approach enables thoughts to develop and grow. Not only do we have our brains tickled but it’s also great fun. Come along and see what you think!

Back by popular demand, this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a free, city-wide P4C club. The weekly sessions are on Tuesdays, 4 – 5.30pm, with Kate Halliwell (a trained facilitator) at DECSY, Scotia Works.

There are 4 sessions each half-term and the next ones will be:

  • Tuesday 27th February

  • Tuesday 5th March

  • Tuesday 12th March

  • Tuesday 19th March

Please spread the word to anyone else who might be interested. There are currently places available and they will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. For parents/carers to book a place for their child or to find out more, please contact Kate Halliwell – katehalliwellp4c@gmail.com.
