Job Opportunity: Business Strategy and Fundraising Consultant - Create Sheffield
Create Sheffield is seeking a Business Strategy and Fundraising Consultant to support us during our next development phase.
About us
Create Sheffield forges connections to arts and culture for all children and young people in the city. We believe that every child or young person deserves the same access to creative expression, no matter their background.
We are a partnership organisation, and our partners are united by a belief that children and young people can benefit both now, and in their future, by experiencing and participating in expressive arts. Our partners come from the education, arts and cultural and community and youth sectors as well as strategic organisations in the city.
We strategically connect people around a shared agenda to collaborate and design work with others to make more of what we each have; to champion the role of the arts in young people’s lives and to challenge each other to make sure that, as a city, we are being truly inclusive and accessible by providing equitable opportunities for all children and young people.
What we need
Create Sheffield is at a pivotal time in its development and has successfully secured funding to support its goal of becoming sustainable. Research and community consultation have shown that Create Sheffield provides a vital service by connecting people in the city - a role that is crucial, and one the organisation is well-positioned to carry out effectively.
In a recent partner survey, 100% of respondents found the Create Sheffield network to be useful. We are trusted by our partners, seen as collaborators not competitors, we aren’t representing vested interests and are here to advocate for equality of access to the expressive arts for all children and young people. By working strategically, we empower the sector to achieve more. We are committed to advocating for and influencing both the cultural sector and the wellbeing of young people.
We require support in developing a long term business strategy, identifying and securing a range of funding sources including support from Trusts and Foundations as well as philanthropic support from businesses.
