Tales From The Playground brings the creative ideas of children and young people to life in pieces of theatre delivered back into the community that inspired it.
We run creative workshops in local schools and the Zest Centre for children, aged 5-11. We bring in creative professionals to deliver a variety of workshops, which could be, music, theatre, design, dance, poetry/creative writing, new media or moving image, all of which inform aspects of a live performance event that takes place within Upperthorpe; down the high street, in the local park or in the Zest Centre itself. The performance is made with 'adventure theatre' specialists, Paperfinch Theatre and it happens in Migration Matters Festival, the UK's largest refugee week festival.
