Music in the City

Music in the City is a student-led organisation from the music department of the University of Sheffield. We offer fantastic opportunities leading music projects in local schools as well as other settings such as care homes. Music in the City work closely with The Sheffield Music Hub, Music for Youth, TUOS Arts and Humanities outreach team.
Music in the City provides a wide range of music outreach sessions in various settings around Sheffield. While we mainly work within schools and with younger age groups, we have also provided music within care homes. We have delivered a variety of performances as well as more interactive sessions with one of our most popular being 'Musical Storytelling' which is aimed at younger age groups. This gives the children an interactive experience by telling a story through musical sound effects. Music in the City are also keen to work with older children and teenagers and could provide a wide range of performances or more tailored sessions.
