Maker{Futures} - University of Sheffield

The Maker{Futures} programme from the University of Sheffield helps early years settings, schools, libraries, museums and community spaces develop their maker education provision.

The Maker{Futures} programme provides children and young people with the skills, knowledge and habits of mind to make projects in relation to real world problems using high and low-tech tools, materials and technologies.

We have a suite of CPD training provision for educators. From free information sessions and online courses to full day workshops and a structured awards programme which supports schools to develop their maker-centred learning.

We offer guidance and support for running makerspaces in early years settings, schools, libraries, museums and community spaces. With Maker{Move}, our pop-up makerspace, we can bring the resources and materials to you and deliver workshops in which participants can design and make a range of objects and engage in STEAM challenges.
